Flower the People started in the winter of 2022 when Trevor Phillips realized a wholesale florists dumpster was overflowing with flowers. He had the bright idea to take them to a nursing home, where he distributed them to the patients. The florist, after hearing about what he was doing, offered to call whenever they were cleaning out their cooler. Flower the People now serves over fifteen nursing homes, made possible by a group of generous volunteers and florists.
